Skin science
Most hydrating serums lean on hyaluronic acid alone, which pulls water to the surface and lets a heated room take it straight back. That's why HA on its own, in dry air, can leave skin tighter than before you used it. Ours uses fragmented, low-molecular chains small enough to travel past the surface, polyglutamic acid to hold that water in place, and a light film over the top so the air can't lift it off again.

No. The Day ampoule is designed to go under it. A moisturizer works by sealing in water that's already there, and most mornings there isn't much to seal. The ampoule gives it something to hold onto.
